We all know that we have different strengths and weaknesses. But sometimes, it can be discouraging when we feel like we have to try so much harder than other people in one area of our lives. Then, we notice we have such good luck in another area and others do not.
What gives?
Well, you can actually see all of this in our stars. Many people, including myself, believe that before we come down to this earth, we choose certain events and conditions for our lifetime in order to help us learn different lessons. For example, I believe we choose our parents and the seemingly fated events that occur throughout our life, like the death of a parent or the birth of a child.
If you go along with this belief, then you could use astrology to determine some of the obstacles and lucky breaks you planned out for this lifetime. I’m going to walk you through some of those now, so that you can find the strengths and weaknesses in your natal chart.
First, before we get started if you don’t know how to find your birth chart or it’s basic info like the Sun, Moon and Rising sign, then check out this article on Astrology basics.
The Good
Jupiter
If you’re good on that, we can dive straight into your chart and locate the planets that bring us good luck. Let’s first examine Jupiter, which looks like this on your chart:

Jupiter is the planet of growth, expansion and good luck. You can have a poorly aspected Jupiter which means other planets make bad angles with it and change its positive energy to something less positive. However, many of us don’t have this and we enjoy all of Jupiter’s lucky benefits in our lives.
Find the house on your chart where Jupiter lives and you’ll see the area of your life in which he brings you blessings. You can find a list of the houses by downloading the free PDF below.
For example, if Jupiter is in the 11th house, you’ll often find that you have luck with your friendships and in your community. You may find that you know lots of people and they will help you get what you want.
If you have Jupiter in the 2nd house, this often means that you will have good luck with your finances. A lack mentality is something you probably have never felt, and money flows to you as if by magic.
Or, if you have Jupiter in the 8th house, then you may have good luck with money as well, but other people’s money. So you might marry into a rich family or receive inheritance from a family member passing away.
Jupiter essentially represents where positive energy freely flows to us in one area of life.

Venus
Another positive planet in our charts (again, unless poorly aspected) is Venus. Wherever we have Venus, it usually brings a positive touch into our lives. Venus is the planet of wealth, beauty, love, and art. For example, when Venus is near your Sun or Ascendant, it will make others perceive you as being very elegant, beautiful and attractive.
I have Venus in the 8th house, and I received some money from my father when he passed away.
If you have Venus in your 4th house, this may mean that you had a very beautiful childhood and family life. Or if you have Venus in the 5th house, you may have a very beautiful dating life, sex life or artistic side – you may even earn money from your hobbies!
Just look at where Venus falls in your chart using the info in this article and mix it with Venus’s energy to see what good it will bring you.
The Bad
Saturn
Unfortunately, not everything is rainbows and butterflies. Let’s examine the area of our chart where we experience wounds and struggles.
Ok, let’s first examine Saturn. I think I’m going to make a video specifically about Saturn one day because there’s a lot I want to say about this planet. But to keep it brief now, you should know that Saturn brings delays and uphill battles in the area of our chart he hits. However, he also brings rewards for very hard work. He is known as a difficult, wise, old teacher who wants us to know the value of slow, hard work. Eventually, he likes to give us an A, but only when we’ve put in the effort. If we don’t, we get beat with a stick. So do the work, people!
I have Saturn in my 6th house of daily routines, work-life and health, so Saturn brings me challenges in sticking to a routine. I always give myself a list of things to do and a million things seem to get in the way. I keep trying and keep trying, and I am improving, but I definitely feel like I have to put way more effort in this area of my life than other people. This also goes for my health. I had back surgery when I was 11 that placed metal rods and screws into my spine to fix my Scoliosis. I have to be extremely careful with my body now. I need to exercise, sit with good posture and be conscious of my weight because if I let things get out of hand for even a little while, Saturn is there to bless me with back pain. Thanks, Saturn!
If you have Saturn in the 10th house, for example, you may feel like you have constriction in life when it comes to your career. This could mean you find your perfect career much later in life or that you struggle to get a job at certain points of your life when others seem to get one without even trying.
If you have Saturn in the 7th house, you may find a relationship later in life that works for you, and before you do, you might have many lessons and hardships to learn through your relationships with unsuitable partners. Because Saturn is an “old” wise man, you could even have a partner with a big age difference from you.
Think about Saturn as delays, difficulties and later, blessings. Find the area of your chart he is in and then you can interpret where your greatest struggles will be.
Chiron
Chiron is considered the wounded healer. If you believe in past lives, Chiron is the asteroid that represents where we experienced our greatest pain in a past life. This could mean that you were killed or condemned for something related to Chiron.
Knowing which sign and house Chiron is in is important to see how this can come to life for you. However, you should know that because Chiron is not just wounded, but also a healer, you have the potential to heal others and yourself through Chiron. Many of the greatest healers have Chiron in a very prominent placement, like aligned with their Ascendant, for example.
I have Chiron in the 11th house aligned with Mars. This means I am very motivated by healing others in a group setting and a community. It’s funny because I’ve been wanting to host retreats and open up an alternative wellness center for years now! I think that this is something I’m going to do one day to heal others.
Right now, Chiron is transiting Aries, which falls in my seventh house. This means I am working through the wounds of finding my own independence and voice within a relationship. How can I truly be myself within a duo? These are the lessons I’m currently experiencing.
Wherever you have Chiron in your chart, look up the zodiac sign and the house, and find an interpretation of them both. Chiron will oftentimes bring up a fear of being hurt for some reason, so consider what fears you may have in relation to the house and sign it appears in. For example, if Chiron is in Leo in the 10th house, you may have a fear of speaking out and being your bold passionate self in the area of your career. It’s possible you were killed in a past life for your work, for example.

Courtney, I taught myself astrology when I was 24. I am 63 now. I was told initially that I had a Grand Trine and a Cardinal Cross. When I did my chart on cafe astrology. The grand Trine was there and no mention of the cardinal cross. When I turn thirty, I realized I was different emotionally and that break ups were tremendously hard. I went to college and got a degree in Psychology and after graduation my life has been a roller coaster. I am a Taurus, moon Libra and rising Leo. My mercury is Aries which has the most aspects which makes sense because I am always in therapy learning about myself, researching is one of my many passions, I live in my head I talk to much. Venus -Gemini, and I call it the cry baby placementMars in Cancer Jupiter and Saturn are at home . My goal is peace Harmony. Enough money to travel once a year but more than anything I want true love. I can’t find it and have been duped many times how much would it cost me to have you help me? I have 16 years of therapy and I am currently on disability for anxiety disorder. Thank, Dawn Martin
